Kitchen Sink FAQs
To measure your kitchen sink, we’ll measure its length, width and depth. For drop-in sinks, we measure from the outer rim, unlike undermount sinks, where we measure from the edge of the counter opening.
To ensure a snug fit, we also measure the countertop cutout, the interior of the base cabinet and the space from the tap to the backsplash.
An undermount sink sits beneath your kitchen worktop, creating a seamless, uninterrupted finish for your countertops. Alternatively, traditional overmount sinks are lowered into place and sealed around the edges, creating a ridge between your sink and worktop.
The best material to choose for your kitchen sink depends on your preferences, budget and needs. We have a range of kitchen sinks available, including:
- Stainless steel: Stainless steel is durable, affordable and easy to clean, making it ideal for modern kitchens and as a budget-conscious option.
- Fragranite: Granite composite sinks are extremely durable and are available in a number of different textures and colours.
- Ceramic: Ceramic sinks suit various kitchen styles and hold up well against daily wear and tear.
Minor leaks, stains or scratches can be repaired by a professional. However, it might be more cost-effective to replace your sink if you experience the following:
- Rust or corrosion
- Deep cracks
- Returning leaks
