If you have an emergency drain blockage, we’re on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we won’t charge any extra if you have an emergency on the weekend. We charge just £37.50+VAT per hour, and then in 15-minute increments, so you’re only charged for the time we need to fix your blockage.

Yes, even some products that are advertised as “flushable” should not be put down your drains, including;

  • Nappies
  • Cotton buds or pads
  • Coffee grounds
  • Hair
  • Grease, fats or oils
  • Conventional cleaning products
  • Flushable cat litter

Chemical drain cleaners can be effective when unblocking drains, but shouldn’t be relied on frequently as the powerful chemicals can corrode the pipes over time.

Before your drain becomes completely blocked, there can be some warning signs such as;

• Slow draining water
• Bad smelling drain
• Pipes making gurgling noises
• If your toilet has a blockage, there may be a higher level of water in your toilet bowl than usual.

The most important thing you can do to keep your drains in good condition is to make sure unwanted debris, food, oil and other flushable items are not put down the drains. You could also invest in drain covers to catch unwanted materials.  We also advise running hot but not boiling water through the sink regularly to flush out debris.
