Here at Pimlico Plumbers we are strong advocates for apprenticeships and believe they are vital in tackling the UK’s skills shortages and youth unemployment rates.
As a business we have the opportunity to play an active role in moulding the future workforce and growing our own talent as apprenticeships offer young people a high-quality and respected hands on training route.
We know that taking on apprentices improves productivity, strengthens our workforce and improves motivation amongst our employees. We can harness fresh talent and train new people the way we want them to learn and work right from the very beginning.
The Apprentice Journey to becoming a Pimlico Expert
Every apprentice enters the Academy on their first day which kick starts their journey to becoming an expert in their chosen field. Our apprentices work full time gaining practical skills, knowledge and experience through on and off the job training whilst working towards nationally recognised qualifications.
Each apprentice will receive top class coaching and mentoring through one of our training partners and will be supported every step of the way through to their graduation.
Our apprenticeship academy operates a variety of apprenticeship programmes split into Technical and Trade Engineers and Professional Service Apprentices that undertake roles at our Head Office in Central London.
Technical and Trade Apprenticeships
- Level 2 Property Maintenance
- Level 2 Carpentry
- Level 2/3 Plumbing and Heating
- Level 3 Electro technical – Installation
- Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician
Technical and Trade Apprentices follow a day release model so will attend college one day per week during term times for the duration of their apprenticeship. The remaining 4 days will be spent out in the field accompanying our qualified engineers on real jobs learning their trade of choice.
Professional Services Apprenticeships
- Level 2 Business Administration
- Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer
- Level 2 Customer Services Practitioner
- Level 3 Assistant Accountant
- Level 3 Management
Professional Service apprentices will be allocated a work based assessor or skills coach who will visit them in the workplace on average every eight weeks to guide them through the programme and ensure they too receive 20% off the job training each week.
