Electrical Estimator- Nigel Houghton
Nigel Houghton, our electrical estimator and technical services manager, can provide you with a written estimate for works.
Nigel is a City & Guilds qualified electrician and has over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry.
He has been with Pimlico for the last 3 years and can provide accurate estimates for all types of electrical work, specialising in work such as new installations, repairs and testing.
As an approved member of the NICIEC he will ensure that all electrical work is carried out according to Part P building regulations and that the best and safest practices are used. He is highly knowledgeable and will proficiently advise you of the most appropriate options available for whichever type of electrical work you require.
Estimate Hours
Electrical estimates can be carried out Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm. Estimates outside of these hours can be arranged.
Written estimates will be posted (or emailed) within 48 hours of our estimator's visit and are valid for 6 months. For urgent work, estimates can be carried out promptly and work can then commence immediately.
Estimate Appointments
An appointment can be made, at a time that suits you, for Nigel to visit you and discuss your requirements. He will then assess the work and provide you with a detailed description of the estimate, a full breakdown of the costs and organise a schedule, which is designed to create as little disruption to you as possible.
Appointments for written estimates are chargeable at our hourly rate. Any charge made will be deducted from the final invoice if and when estimated works are carried out.

Service
Nigel will also oversee all work carried out and keep you informed and updated on its progress. All electrical work will be carried out by fully qualified, experienced and NICEIC Part P approved installers.
Once completed, he will carry out an inspection of the work to ensure it meets the required standards, complies with all the necessary regulations and adheres to NICEIC legislation. And of course all work completed will carry a full guarantee.
